Small Town Girl Talk: Spite Alopecia with Human Hair Wigs for Beauty
We never thought the radiant Chandra Smart, my high school BFF, would accessorize with lace front wigs. Her signature hair styles was synonymous with impeccable style. Have you seen her lately? The woman remains the center of attention because of her hair. Only a handful of souls know she utilizes lace wigs. They work well.
As young girls in the hill country, we used to knocked ‘em dead. Five years later, her medical hair loss started acting up and she went bald. I mentioned some invisible lace wigs. Oh well, she just shaved her head. Even on bad days she proudly demonstrated her innate beauty.
At our alma mater’s roller hockey tournament, we taunted the players till her loverboy purposefully flung the orb (or whatever they play with) towards the fans. My bff jumped up for it and her hand-knitted “head sweater” (her idea) jumped from her head, unveiling her naked head. Undisturbed, she hurled the thing with a tremendous heave to her man. She’s that kind of girl.
That said, nobody is perfect. Once she invited me over for a cookie baking marathon, the day she looked me in the eye and informed me that she opts to make do with a shorn head as a statement. She could never think about human hair wigs, secretly acknowledging she would wear them. And who would have thought she stopped talking and asked that I can’t mention it again. I didn’t know what to say.
We got so worried about her. Later on, I called about going shopping with me for a new lace front wig. Eventually we both ended up with an agreement: we were going wig shopping! One for me and one for her.
The both of us were amazed by the possibilities. We never knew that women’s medical wigs could be so professionally crafted for so many women. These lace front wigs brought out her youthful spirit. Personally, I pieced together a delightfully fresh set of outfits to go with my wig. We stand together, but you knew that already. For my birthday she thanked me for giving her back her hair, and confessed it encourages a real positive image for many occasions. It’s encouraging to see her live a happier existence. We both are.
